The Story Behind Clearly Essential Products
It was 2001 when I threw a few essential
oils and some water together to clean things around the house. Somewhere
along the way, it got pushed to the back of a shelf and I forgot about
it. In the meantime, I tried everything to clean windows. I tried white
vinegar. Pew. I tried dish detergent and water at the suggestion of
a professional window cleaner. Messy. Then I would always go back to
the old standby chemical cleaners you know, the blue stuff, the purple
stuff. They make me cough. They make me nervous. My kids lick everything.
So one day, desperate for a window cleaner, I pulled out the old bottle
of "cleaner" I had made and tried it on the windows. I didn't expect
it to actually work. I was flabbergasted. They were so clean I was amazed!
So I did the only reasonable thing to do in that situation. I called
my mother. "Mom, Mom!" I said excitedly. "This stuff I made cleans windows
like nothing I have ever tried!" The trouble was, I wasn't sure what
I had put in it.
I began mixing and fortunately I got it right. I tried it again on the windows. It worked! I tried it on all kinds of things. It worked! My mom started trying it on things, too. She would call me from time to time with new success stories. Our ultimate test was the day we spilled red wine on her light tan wool rug. Clearly Essential™ Multi-Purpose took the stain out! We have had other tests since. Like the time my three-year old scribbled all over our brand new sofas with Bic pen. No worries. It's gone, thanks to Extra-Strength Kitchen and Bath cleaner, which is also useful for washing the car, bugs and all.
So back when I first developed our Multi-Purpose cleaner, my husband cleaned some cd's. They stopped skipping. He said "Do you know how many times I have tried to get these stop skipping by cleaning them? You have to market this stuff!" I really wanted to do my part to keep the planet and people healthier, so I bought a few bottles, designed hand-cut paper labels, handed out samples to stores, and that was the start of our original Clearly Essential™ Multi-Purpose Cleaner. I later developed Toilet Solution™, our Extra-Strength Kitchen & Bath Cleaner, Lemon Scrub, and most recently Cinnamon Scrub. Each product was developed to fill a need in our own home as we raise our three boys. We don't use anything else to clean our house, and we even use Extra-Strength to do the laundry.
Since 2002, I have been marketing our products and stores have been steadily selling them, keeping other families safe. Clearly Essential™ products are helping to clean up the earth too, one household at a time.
I'm ready to take Clearly Essential Company to a new level, reaching more and more families and businesses all over the country. We know that our customers love our products. We know it sells consistently. So, we have just had our labels redesigned and mass-produced, giving Clearly Essential™ products a whole new look, but keeping our familiar earth spiral.
