About Our Liquid Products
Ingredients: Steam distilled essential oils and water.
That’s it. Really.
We’re not hiding anything. That’s all we put into
them.
Our liquid products contain no more than essential oils and water.
From some people I have had the question “No surfactants?”
as if surfactants were something to be avoided. From others I
have had the question “No surfactants?” as if our products
couldn’t possibly work if they didn’t have surfactants in
them. No, our products do not contain surfactants. And they
do work.
When I’m out there selling our products to both buyers and retail
customers, I start off by telling people that our liquid products contain
nothing more than essential oils and water. Usually their eyebrows
go up. They are intrigued. It’s what makes us different
from all of the rest of the companies out there making all-natural cleaning
products.
I developed our liquid products for our home using these simple ingredients,
and they worked on everything from cleaning windows to removing ink
stains from our couch. They made the tile floors sparkle, neutralized
bad odors around the toilets, and cleaned my rugs. I could even
wash my kids’ hands and their toys with our liquid products and
not worry about our children getting sick from some hidden chemical
in a so-called “all natural” cleaner or because they were
licking up surfactants (whatever the source of the surfactant.)
So I figured this effective and simple product should be available to
anyone.
Which essential oils are we using? Well, this is a tricky area.
If we list which oils we’re using, someone with a lot more capital
could come along and market the same products. Then they might
squeeze in a few more ingredients that either are or aren’t disclosed…things
that are not so pure.
We want you to have the real thing developed by a real mom with a messy
family who has done all of the testing. Me. There’s
nothing scary in Clearly Essential.
About Our Scrub Products
Lemon Scrub and Cinnamon Scub
All-Natural Scouring Powders
Ingredients: Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and borax
and steam distilled essential oil or lemon or cinnamon.
That’s it. Really.
We’re not hiding anything. That’s all we put into
them.
Why do we take these two commonly used household items and make another
product out of them? Can you do it yourself? Sure you can.
But we decided to do it for people because let’s face it…most
of us are too busy to make our own cleaning products. (I mean,
how easy is it to make coffee? And yet millions of people just
go down to Starbuck’s.) Making our scrub product is a messy
and dusty process. But first you have to have all three ingredients
on hand, plus a shaker container to put it in once you have done all
the work. Then you have to label it so nobody mistakes it for
a drink mix or something. So, we do it for you. We have
it down to a pretty dust-free process. Our shaker containers are
completely reusable, and they’re labeled so you know what it is
and to keep it out of the reach of children.
Our scouring powders are made with all-natural ingredient. Borax is mined from the earth and has been used by people for cleaning for generations. But borax can be dangerous if it gets into eyes or into kids’ mouths or bellies. And it can be dangerous to pets. It’s safe on hands and you can even take a bath in it. In fact, the ingredients in our scouring powders are the same ones that are in bath salts. But take precautions. Store it out of the reach of children and pets. And if kids are using it to clean desks or anything else, just make sure you supervise them and are making sure they’re using it properly.
